Vinyl of the Week: Counterpane

This weeks Vinyl of the Week is a popular classic, COUNTERPANE. This line features a diamond pillow-like aesthetic and is presented in primary hues as well as a muted and natural pallet.

“I think that COUNTERPANE is going to be a platform for other unique, embossed products that have quilting or stitching elements,” said Jeff Post, vice president and general manager of Enduratex. “The ability to coordinate with other fabrics and vinyls, and creating a multi-dimensional look, makes this a sophisticated and inviting option.” COUNTERPANE coordinates wall with the Enduratex™ LUNAR line complimenting the quilted stitch look.

COUNTERPANE is available in 14 SKUs, is rated 500 UV and exceeds 100,000 Wyzenbeek cycles. The line is protected by the Enduratex™ topcoat Produratext™, which has been specially formulated for marine use. These specifications make COUNTERPANE a marine grade vinyl, but its versatility allows it to be used in hospitality and contract applications.

Our VP/General Manager, Jeff Post, sat down with us for an interview about his position at Enduratex and experience in the coated fabrics industry. The first part in this four-part series is dedicated to his industry knowledge and coated fabrics interest. 1.    What was your initial vision for Enduratex? Has Enduratex become what you envisioned it would, or has the vision changed with time? Jeff: My original vision for Enduratex was to build it as a ‘household name’ in the markets we served. We were known as CGPC back then and I made it a point to make sure that we got the brand Enduratex out there and that over time, we became known as Enduratex. People began to call us Enduratex and I recognized the need to promote that name. I think we have accomplished a tremendous job in re-branding ourselves and making the brand name of ENDURATEX one that is known and respected. 2.    What qualities define a ‘dream team’? What constitutes a strong team and how have you tried to develop your team into a ‘dream team’?
