The Paséa Hotel & Spa Opens in Huntington Beach

The Paséa Hotel & Spa has debuted in Huntington Beach, California, as the newest addition to the Meritage Collection’s portfolio of luxury resorts in California and Hawaii. The 250-room hotel features a modern spin on classic coastal styles, emphasizing open spaces, natural materials, and contemporary organic furnishings. Designs from the Scottsdale, Arizona- and Washington, DC-based firm Monogram at BBGM drew influence from the region’s emergence as an artistic cultural hub.

“The hotel’s design celebrates the culture and the magnificent views of Huntington Beach,” says Monogram at BBGM principal Kathryn Mickel. “We wanted to offer luxurious coastal living with clean lines and elegant materials. Our designs incorporate the local area’s charm and were based on our interpretation of a modern California beach house.”

The design includes local artwork, distressed wood finishes, and teak accents. Included among the guestrooms are eight luxury one-bedroom suites and the 1,900-square-foot penthouse suite. Eleven meeting rooms are available across the hotel’s 34,000 square feet of event space. Multi-functional spaces range from the 8,400-square-foot ballroom and adjoining 14,000-square-foot Ocean Lawn to the intimate Blue Room, which is equipped with a fire pit and terrace.

The hotel’s signature restaurant Tanner’s boasts ocean views through its floor-to-ceiling windows, two bars, and two floors of outdoor patio seating. Adjacent to the hotel study, the Blend Café provides more casual fare.

The Balinese-inspired Aarna Spa offers eight treatment rooms, a salon, a relaxation room, and an outdoor garden across its 5,800 square feet. Guests also have access to a fitness center, Jacuzzi, and two infinity-edge pools.
